Veteran Shark Tank, an event spun off the popular reality television series, recently featured Jon Cleck, co-founder of West Chester-based Concihairge, as one of the finalists, writes Diane Herbst for NBCNews.com.
The seventh annual contest welcomed four finalists, all veterans, who were picked nationwide after winning regional events with their business proposals.
Cleck is a Navy Seal and also works in Philadelphia-area law enforcement. He was looking for funding for an app that would go along with the successful in-home hairstyling business he founded in West Chester with his wife, Stephanie, five years ago.
“The business is our fourth child,” said Cleck. “And we nurture it and foster and grow it just like it is another child. So just like we do with our regular kids, we don’t turn off that parenting or that concern and that growth.”
